AWS Cloud Engineer – Secure Government Project (DV Eligible)
Gloucester (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Up to £80,000 + DV Bonus + Discretionary Bonus
A major UK defence technology organisation is hiring multiple AWS Cloud Engineers to support a new secure programme delivering cloud platforms for national security projects.
This is a strong opportunity for engineers who enjoy building and deploying AWS environments in highly secure, mission-critical settings.
The role
You’ll be working on secure AWS platforms used across government and defence environments, helping design, deploy and improve cloud infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
* Deploying and managing AWS environments in secure environments
* Supporting infrastructure automation and platform reliability
* Working closely with DevOps and engineering teams
* Contributing to modern cloud architecture and delivery practices
Requirements
* 3+ years’ experience deploying AWS environments
* Strong AWS knowledge (VPC, EC2, IAM, networking, security best practices)
* Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation or similar)
* Ability to work onsite in Gloucester 3 days per week
* Must be eligible for DV (Developed Vetting) clearance
