About the Role
We are looking for a motivated IT Configuration Technician to join our growing configuration team in Rugby. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment preparing IT equipment for customers, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard and in line with agreed service levels. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in IT, great attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
* Asset tagging customer IT equipment
* Hardware upgrades on desktops, laptops, and servers
* Applying customer images to machines
* Preparing and packaging equipment securely for delivery
* Removing and disposing of packaging safely
* Supporting intermediate-level engineers when required
* Updating and maintaining basic spreadsheets
* Logging data accurately using internal systems
* Carrying out general configuration tasks as directed by the leadership team
Skills & Experience
* Experience in a similar IT or warehouse environment (desirable but not essential)
* Basic understanding of SLAs and the importance of meeting deadlines
* Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Familiarity with installing Windows operating systems (desirable)
* GCSEs in English and Maths preferred
* Basic warehousing experience is an advantage
