About the English Teacher Role
As an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play a key role in developing students' literacy skills, communication abilities, and confidence in English Language and Literature.
Key Responsibilities as English Teacher
* Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
* Literacy Development: Support students in developing reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills.
* Behaviour Management: Implement positive behaviour management strategies to maintain an effective learning environment.
* Progress Monitoring: Assess and track student progress, adapting teaching methods where necessary.
* Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, parents, and senior leaders to support student achievement and development.
To succeed as an English Teacher, you will need
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching English within a secondary school setting.
* Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
* An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply through Reeson Education.
