About the job The International Baccalaureate (IB) is undertaking a bold digital transformation, and this role offers the opportunity to be part of it. As a Senior Product Specialist in the Digital Office, you will play a key role in shaping IB’s digital product ecosystem, reimagining how we support internal colleagues, schools, educators, and learners worldwide through digital innovation. The Digital Office sits at the centre of IB’s product strategy, with end‑to‑end responsibility for customer‑facing products across existing platforms and new ventures. You will join a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering meaningful, measurable outcomes in a rapidly evolving education landscape. This cross‑functional role partners closely with Heads of Product across Digital Domains and the Digital Office Senior Leadership Team to embed the Product Management Operating Model in line with IB strategy. Day to day, you will work across domains and functions, including data and analytics, engineering, and UX - to ensure consistent workflows, models, and ways of working. The role sits within the Student Operations Domain, with a primary focus on the IBIS application and the transition to the Assessment Operating System (AOS). Responsibilities Influence product strategy across interconnected domains, aligning with broader organizational goals, and owning transparent and well-operated product processes. Align with the strategy team to bring IB strategic vision into new product concepts, with a strong focus on AOS. Guide discovery and innovation efforts to unlock new value opportunities. Work with the Head of Product for Student Operations to ensure long-term strategic objectives are accommodated and balanced in roadmaps alongside ongoing operational work, maintaining high standards of delivery and operational excellence across each of our product domains. Collaborate with engineering, UX, and analytics teams to ensure consistent workflows and transparent product operations. Monitor the education and edtech landscape, staying ahead of competitor moves, emerging technologies, and shifting user expectations to keep our products relevant and future-ready. Accountability for product management tooling and technology selection and management to support operational needs in disciplinary function. Qualifications Strong background in IB assessment, with a deep understanding of assessment and key processes. Experience in product management and/or a proven track record of delivering impactful digital products, preferably in complex or regulated environments. Understanding of product development lifecycle, user-centered design, agile methodologies, and data-driven decision-making. Strong technical fluency; able to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and translate complex technical concepts into business outcomes. Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and storytelling skills, aligning cross-functional teams around a clear vision.
