Allied Health at Cabrini is a dynamic and rapidly expanding service comprising twelve professional disciplines. Our integrated team provides a broad range of opportunities, including senior consultant and leadership roles, work within specialised clinical streams, and a structured rotation and support program for junior staff.

What the role involves
We have an exciting opportunity for a Grade 1 Exercise Physiologist to join our Outpatient team. This part-time (0.8 FTE) role is primarily based at the Cabrini Exercise & Wellness Centre in Malvern, with potential rotations to our Elsternwick Outpatient site. There may also be opportunities to work additional hours to support service growth and leave cover.
In this role, you will work with a diverse range of chronic disease cohorts, including cardiac, respiratory, and oncology patients, making a meaningful impact on their long-term health and wellbeing.
Your responsibilities will include facilitating group exercise and rehabilitation programs, conducting comprehensive assessments, and developing individualised exercise plans. You will also manage a varied caseload, including one-on-one private practice sessions.
You will be supported by a collaborative, flexible, and growth-focused team, with access to internal and external professional development, regular supervision, and a strong culture of learning, teamwork, and innovation.
Key responsibilities:
1. Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care in an outpatient setting
2. Conduct comprehensive assessments using appropriate screening tools and outcome measures
3. Develop and progress tailored exercise programs aligned with patient goals
4. Facilitate group exercise classes and education sessions
5. Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
6. Participate in quality improvement activities and ongoing professional development
What we're looking for
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Grade 1 Exercise Physiologist who is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care aligned with Cabrini’s mission and values.
You will have:
7. Accreditation with Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA)
8. Experience in an outpatient setting, ideally with chronic disease and/or oncology cohorts
9. Ability to work independently in assessments and group program delivery
10. Strong teamwork and communication skills
11. The ability to engage, motivate, and support patients
12. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
