About the Role

As a Care Assistant at Brookdale, you will provide compassionate, person-centred support to individuals who need help with daily living activities due to age, illness, disability, or recovery needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
* Support mobility, including helping with walking and use of mobility aids
* Prepare and assist with meals, ensuring dietary needs are met
* Provide medication reminders (as directed by healthcare professionals)
* Monitor and report changes in clients’ physical, emotional, or mental well-being
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and daily observations
* Offer companionship and emotional support to promote well-being
* Assist with light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and tidying
* Follow individual care plans and health and safety guidelines
* Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare teams to ensure quality care
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has previous care experience (preferred but not essential)
* Holds a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (desirable but not essential)
* Is kind, patient, respectful, and empathetic with a genuine passion for supporting others
* Communicates well, works effectively in a team, and is committed to high standards of care
* Can work independently during the night and as part of a team
* Is comfortable with personal care tasks.
