We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to lead and coordinate the delivery of complex technology projects in the biometric integration and Borders programmes within a high-profile government department. This role supports the transformation of UK migration and border services.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of complex projects, ensuring alignment across cross-cutting programmes and departments. Working closely with senior stakeholders, operational leads, and technical teams, you will drive delivery excellence, mitigate risks, and ensure that biometric solutions are integrated seamlessly into existing systems and processes. The role requires strong delivery management discipline, with a high level of attention to detail to manage complex plans, dependencies, risks, and reporting.
You will be confident using Jira and Confluence to plan, track, and report delivery activity, maintaining accurate and up-to-date delivery artefacts and ensuring transparency across teams and stakeholders. You will also have a sound understanding of financial management, including forecasting, tracking delivery costs, and managing budgets in line with governance and assurance requirements across multiple projects working with Senior Delivery Managers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in delivering complex technology programmes, preferably within government or regulated environments. You’ll be adept at stakeholder management, confident in navigating ambiguity, and skilled in balancing competing priorities across a dynamic portfolio.
