They are seeking a Business Development Manager to take ownership of the South West region, secure new business, and manage existing accounts. The role offers hybrid working and client visits, with a focus on meeting targets and KPIs.
The ideal candidate will come from a branded or wholesale background, although hospitality managers seeking to move into drinks FMCG will also be considered.
Business Development Manager Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for growth of sales across the South West.
2. Building new business and nurturing existing accounts, including independents and groups.
3. Developing strategic plans to expand the business.
4. Understanding the product portfolio and identifying upsell opportunities.
5. Acting as a brand ambassador to clients and consumers.
6. Planning, organizing, and facilitating client meetings and calls to meet KPIs.
7. Driving sales and revenue.
The ideal Business Development Manager candidate:
1. Has previous experience in the drinks sector or hospitality in the South West.
2. Resides around Exeter, Tiverton, Honiton, or nearby.
3. Is a self-starter driven to succeed, with a strong network and connections.
4. Has a proven track record of delivering growth in the drinks industry.
5. Possesses a customer-oriented approach to account management, aiming to exceed expectations.
6. Has a strong, assertive style of self-management and motivation.
7. Is capable of negotiating, delivering training, and explaining alcoholic product ranges competently.
