Job Description:
As a Trainee/Assistant Farm Manager, you will support the daily operations on our broiler farms, ensuring the health and welfare of the birds are to the highest standards and maintaining the cleanliness of the sites to ensure a good level of biosecurity.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with the daily care and monitoring of broiler chickens
* Ensure birds have constant access to clean water and feed
* Maintain high standards of hygiene and biosecurity
* Monitor bird health and report any issues to the Area Manager
* Litter management and general housekeeping duties
* Follow all farm protocols and health & safety regulations
* Work independently and as part of a team
* Flexible working across multiple sites
Requirements:
* Full driving licence
* Previous poultry or farm experience is preferred, but not essential – training can be provided
* Willingness to work early mornings, evenings and weekends, flexible hours
* Physically fit and able to work in a farm environment
* Reliable, responsible, and self-motivated
* Telehandler ticket preferred but not essential
