Private Client Solicitor (NQ–2 PQE)
Location: Edinburgh
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract: Permanent, Full‑time
The Opportunity
An established and highly regarded private client practice is seeking a Newly Qualified or Qualified Solicitor (up to 2 years’ PQE) to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a career within a specialist private client environment, working with a high‑quality client base and alongside experienced practitioners.
The role would suit a solicitor looking to consolidate and expand their private client experience within a supportive and collaborative setting.
The Role
You will manage your own varied caseload while also supporting senior colleagues on more complex matters. The work will include exposure to:
* Wills and estate planning
* Powers of Attorney
* Succession and tax planning
* Family and business governance matters
* Trusts and related private client work
* Supporting dispute resolution and mediation matters where required
You will be encouraged to take responsibility for client relationships and to deliver a consistently high standard of client care.
The Candidate
Applicants should have experience in private client work, either from a trainee seat or post‑qualification role within a commercial or private client firm.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
* Relevant private client experience, ideally involving HNW individuals
* The ability to manage a busy and varied workload
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* A professional and empathetic client‑focused approach
* The ability to work collaboratively as part of a close‑knit team
NQ solicitors and those up to 2 years’ PQE are encouraged to apply.
