Clinical Nurse Specialist
Location: Peterborough
Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum (plus bonus)
Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday with no on-call, shifts or nights.

About the Role
It is a specialist role that requires clinical expertise along with the ability to manage and prioritise workloads. We are looking for someone who shares our values and is as enthusiastic about care as we are.
You will be based at your local Apollo Home Healthcare office in Peterborough, but some flexibility is required as you will be travelling to clients’ homes across the East region.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Taking clinical ownership of complex care caseloads. This will also include the occasional paediatric complex care package.
2. Creating, managing, and reviewing bespoke care plans
3. Leading and delivering clinical training for Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers
4. Ensuring safe, compliant, high-quality care in line with national standards
5. Reviewing clinical documentation, including MAR charts and care records
6. Building strong, supportive relationships with our clients, their families, and multidisciplinary teams
7. Provide ongoing mandatory training and development in line with national standards.
This role combines office-based responsibilities with community visits to our clients, focusing on the training, assessment, and competency of Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers.
Skills and Experience
We are looking for passionate and compassionate nurses with experience in:
8. Airway management, including tracheostomy care and suctioning.
9. Ventilation management (invasive and non-invasive)
10. Enteral feeding (PEG / JEJ / NG)
Experience with spinal injuries, acquired brain injuries, degenerative or neurological conditions is beneficial but not essential. Additional training can be provided.
Requirements
11. Valid NMC Pin with at least 2 years’ post-qualification experience.
12. Ideally 12 months community care nursing experience.
13. Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
14. Strong clinical judgement and the ability to prioritise workloads.
15. Flexibility to oversee complex care packages across the East region.
