Position Overview:
The Health & Safety officer / adviser will work closely with our experienced Health & Safety team and 3rd party advisors, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in managing workplace safety, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with relevant safety legislation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about health & safety and keen to develop a career in this critical field.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in quality orientated duties, including (but not limited to), conduct internal audits, inspection of manufactured work, customer complaint management, management of internal and external non-conformity reports (NCRs)
· Help identify potential hazards and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
· Support the Health & Safety team in creating and maintaining safety policies and procedures.
· In conjunction with the H&S Team enforce health and safety requirements.
· In conjunction with the H&S team Identify hazards and implement solutions
· Participate in training sessions and workshops to promote safe work practices.
· Assist with incident and accident reporting and investigation processes.
· Stay up-to-date with health and safety regulations and best practices.
· Maintain the quality and environmental management system documents.
· Assist QHSE Coordinator with onsite H&S administration logs across a number of local sites and assist with other HSE related work
· Support the Implementation & maintenance of health and safety standards & QE Standards such as ISO 45001, 14001 & 9001
Essential Requirements:
· A strong interest in health and safety with a desire to build a career in this field.
· Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
· Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
· Familiarity with health & safety regulations and practices
· Proactive approach, taking pride in their work and taking accountability for decisions.
· A love of variety in a role and ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced working environment.
· Ability to prioritise tasks and the initiative to dive head-first into problem solving.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills and enjoy working with multiple teams.
· Ability to analyse and interpret information and effectively communicate this to different team members and audiences.
· Curiosity to learn in a reactive and dynamic working environment.
· Able to understand and follow health and safety protocols.
Essential experience / Qualifications:
· Previous experience in a Quality or HSE orientated role
· NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications
Desirable Qualifications
· Knowledge of Health & Safety and or ISO accreditations & auditing
