Make UK are looking for skilled electrical professionals to join them in providing essential training to the next generation of engineers, passing over your knowledge and experience to secure the future of manufacturing. As a further education provider, Make UK offers an engaging and motivational workplace where you will mentor and guide Manufacturing & Engineering apprentices.
The role involves developing and delivering further education engineering subjects with qualifications including Pearson BTEC National Diplomas, EAL Vocational Awards, and City and Guilds qualifications. This role will focus on teaching electrical skills up to level 3.
Applications are welcome from industry professionals looking to transition into education; training will be provided.
Responsibilities include:
* Developing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments
* Creating course materials including handouts and reference resources
* Delivering practical training to apprentices and adults
* Creating a motivational learning environment
* Assessing learners' progress, providing constructive feedback, and preparing progress reports
Experience and skills required:
* Time-served apprentice, relevant City and Guilds (Part 3) qualification, or full Technical Certificate, National Certificate, or higher
* Level 3 (or higher) teacher training qualification (desired)
* A1 and V1 (desired)
* Industrial experience with knowledge of current industry standards and best practices (desirable)
* Good presentation and communication skills
