Job Title: Civil Design Engineer Location: Glascoed, South Wales Salary: £53,927 What you’ll be doing\: Developing planning applications, building regulations, detailed designs, and construction drawings Producing and refining design deliverables, including 3D models, GA drawings, steel detailing, reinforced concrete detailing, schedules, and design calculations Conducting land and building surveys and formulating sustainable drainage strategies for major developments Collaborating with the civil team to create cost-effective and safe designs Providing structural design expertise, ensuring compliance with client specifications and regulatory standards Preparing and submitting applications to relevant authorities and managing BIM practices Your skills and experiences\: Essential: HNC/HND in Civil / Structural Engineering Excellent understanding of the 2015 CDM Regulations Practiced experience in construction design within the industrial sector (client or contractor biased) Deep knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or similar software, and capable of carrying out designs without supervision Desirable\: Degree level education or equivalent Member, or working towards membership in related Professional Engineering Institution Working in a defence related industry background Benefits\: As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts - you may also be eligible for an annual incentive. The Civil Construction team\: You will be joining the internal civil construction team that has a growing portfolio of infrastructure development projects within the business, and you will be working collaboratively within a design and construct team to deliver the civil design for multiple projects ranging from £50k - £10m in value.
