Job Description: Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner - Band 4

This is a part-time, permanent position working 20.72 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9-5 service). The successful candidate will support the Specialist Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists within the Midlothian Community Learning Disabilities Team. The role involves assisting with clinical and non-clinical tasks, working independently with patients under guidance, and participating in service development. Training, supervision, and support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the delivery of therapy services to clients with learning disabilities.
* Assist qualified physiotherapists and occupational therapists in their duties.
* Work independently within the parameters of defined intervention plans.
* Participate in ongoing training and development.
Qualifications and Skills:
* HND in a health-related subject, SCQF level 8, SVQ III, or HNC, or working towards this qualification.
* Good communication and problem-solving skills.
* Adaptable, innovative, and a team player.
