Care is Central is seeking likeminded individuals who are compassionate, caring and dedicated to caring for others the same way we are,

We are looking for an individuals who can provide empathetic and person-centred care to join our well established, growing team of care assistants across two of our independent living schemes Chamomile Gardens Sorrell Way, Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, SG18 8YZ and Quince Court Flats 1-55 Engayne Avenue, Sandy SG19 1BW ·

Both Chamomile Gardens and Quince Court are apartment complex for individuals aged 55 and over where people live independently in their own apartments. Care is Central are the on-site care team, providing care and support to a range of people living in the scheme. This role is focused on maintaining people's independence and promoting dignity, choice, and empowerment at all points of care delivery.

You will be joining a supportive care team, led by hands-on management who will provide you with a comprehensive training programme.

Main Duties of a Care Assistant:

* Providing compassionate and dignified personal care (bathing, dressing, continence care etc.)
* Assisting individuals to manage and take their medication (training provided)
* Light domestic duties to help around the home and ensure a safe environment
* Support individuals to access the community and local facilities
* Assisting with moving and handling including the use of equipment such as hoists (training provided)
* Providing emotional support and companionship to those in our care
* Liaising with healthcare professionals and families regularly to provide updates, seek healthcare treatments or follow up on any concerns
* To follow individual care plans, ensuring that all needs are met according to established guidelines and to regularly feedback to the Team Leader when updates are required.
* Being resilient, attentive, and ensuring our residents are treated with the dignity and care they deserve
* Maintain a clean, safe and homely environment for our residents, ensuring that all equipment is used properly and safely
* To work positively within the team and be a can-do, pro-active contributor who can

Requirements:

As a values-based employer, we do not need you to have previous experience in a professional caring role, though it would be beneficial, as would any personal experience you may have provided care for others.

What is important to us is that you share our values, have a passion for helping others, can work positively within a team (even when things aren't easy) and bring joy and laughter to the role, both with those we support and those we work with.

We do also need you to:

* Be eligible to work in the UK (Please note we do not offer Sponsorship)
* Have strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
* A caring nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
* Undertake an Enhanced DBS check (Paid for by us)
