An opportunity has arisen to join the HEART team as a Response Officer covering full-time, 26.25 hour per week, permanent, on a rota basis working a 4 on 4 off basis covering weekends and all bank holidays as per set rota patterns. The post is as a Response Officer is certainly varied in nature of where and what you will attend; the call centre will provide details on what and when you need to attend. We provide a service borough wide, and you will be expected to drive and attend calls alone unless there is an identified risk where two or more people should attend, therefore a full UK Driving Licence is a requirement. You will also attend people's homes and complete annual service & information updates, complete basic technical cases including exchanging pendants. Training, support and mentoring will be provided. You will undertake a period of training and mentoring if you are a successful candidate. Doncaster has just updated to a digital call handling platform and service manager and are in transition to new ways of working. We are approximately 99% complete on the exchange of lifeline units to digital sim based equipment. The HEART service restructure is hoped to be implemented by October 2025, for which these posts are key, however training will be required prior to this.
