We’ve a great opportunity for a dedicated Asset Information Officer to take responsibility for the governance of our asset management policies, procedures and systems. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring our asset information remains accurate, consistent and aligned with both organisational requirements and industry best practices. As Asset Information Officer, you will help support the business in maintaining its ISO55001 certification through effective oversight and continuous improvement of asset-related processes and data. Working collaboratively across teams, you’ll help ensure our asset management framework is well-governed, reliable and fit for purpose in a dynamic operational environment. Key accountabilities will include Maintain the Asset Information Strategy and related governance documents and deliver companywide briefings to support understanding and alignment. Govern documentation standards within the CMMS, ensuring data requirements and completeness are maintained across the system. Manage the Engineering Document Management System (EDMS), including maintaining the system, producing performance reports, and delivering user training and briefings. Audit the Engineering team’s use of the EDMS to ensure compliance with the Document Management Plan and associated procedures. Act as the responsible owner for the Configuration Management System, reporting on its status and overseeing system changes. Deliver training and companywide briefings on the correct use of the Configuration Management System to ensure consistent standards. Work with the Projects Team to ensure configuration data meets required standards and audit compliance against the Configuration Management Plan. Continuously improve the systems, procedures and plans related to asset, document, and configuration management. What you’ll bring: We’re looking for someone confident, operationally aware and people-focused to thrive in a fast-paced, process-driven environment. You’ll communicate clearly, collaborate effectively and work across systems to support asset information governance. Adaptability, time management and a proactive problem-solving approach are essential for success. You’ll bring; Degree in Engineering or another STEM subject, or equivalent relevant experience. Knowledge of engineering activities within a large, multi-disciplined maintenance environment. Solid understanding of Asset Management principles and asset lifecycle activities. Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft SharePoint, Power Apps, and Power BI. Demonstrates ability to work effectively in a process-driven environment. Must hold or be willing to achieve the Institute of Asset Management – Asset Management Certificate.
