Allied Health Assistant opportunity to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where our 12 000-strong team focuses on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
Responsibilities
* Provide a range of clinical screening assessments as prescribed by Allied Health professionals
* Apply high level knowledge and skills in advising other colleagues and stakeholders to support provision of care
* Use high level communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders
* Collaborate with the Rehabilitation Response multidisciplinary team to ensure effective use of resources and support quality outcomes
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
* While not mandatory, a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance and proficiency in Word and Excel would be well regarded
* Working with Children check (GCH will cover cost)
* Evidence of vaccination, or ability to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
* Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
* Driver Licence
* Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
* Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

* Temporary full time (up to 6 months with the possibility for extension)
* Base salary ranging from $2 624.50 - $2 759.10 per fortnight
About Gold Coast Health
This role works within the Rehabilitation Response Team (RRT) service. The RRT is a specialised, multi-disciplinary service that follows a shared care model to provide rehabilitation services for inpatients in an acute ward setting (inreach rehabilitation). Within this, the RRT provides assessment and management of all referrals for inreach and inpatient rehabilitation services, the Complex Management Unit and rehabilitation episodes of care via clinical intent.
