We are currently recruiting for a Sales Manager to lead the team at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Waltham Abbey.

As Sales Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining and building strong relationships with our key clients, be accountable for proactively soliciting and managing special corporate accounts, group and catering related opportunities along with total account management of the existing account portfolio. Your focus is to build long term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of hotel sales budgets to promote brand loyalty and increase market share.

Responsibilities: Here's what your journey with
us entails:






* Works collaboratively with off-property sales channels to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary and not duplicative.
* Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
* Develops relationships within the community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities.
* Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
* Provides accurate, complete and effective turnover to Event Management.
* Identifies new business to achieve personal and location revenue goals.
* Understands the overall market - competitors strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.
* Ensures that the Senior Event Manager and their team are working effectively and efficiently to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
* Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships within the whole hotel.




Safety and Company Policies:






* Follow
all company and safety and security policies and procedures

* Report
maintenance needs, accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to the
manager

* Complete
safety training and certifications

* Ensure
uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional

* Maintain
confidentiality of proprietary information

* Communicate
with others using clear and professional language

* Develop
and maintain positive working relationships with others

* Support
the team to reach common goals

* Listen
and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees

* Ensure
adherence to quality expectations and standards
