Are you a hands-on technical leader who thrives on transforming platforms and setting engineering standards?
This is an opportunity for a Software Development Lead to shape a major modernisation programme and steer the evolution of a software product into a modern, scalable, API-driven architecture.
What You'll Be Doing
* Lead and mentor a growing development team whilst remaining hands-on.
* Modernise and replatform a legacy application
* Build and enhance backend services, RESTful APIs.
* Collaborate with product, UI/UX and delivery teams to deliver intuitive, future-ready features.
* Define engineering best practices, architectural patterns and coding standards.
What You'll Bring
* Strong full-stack developer with hands-on experience across multiple programming languages.
* Proven experience leading or mentoring developers.
* Legacy migration experience (essential).
* Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, integration patterns and backend architecture.
* Good knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to influence technical direction.
