Learning and Development Manager Remote UK Full Time | Permanent PPG Architectural Coatings is seeking an experienced and dynamic Learning & Development Manager to co-ordinate and deliver a professional growth programme for our employees across 190 Decorating Centres, field-based sales teams and HQ Manufacturing site. This role will focus on designing, delivering, and managing a range of learning programmes aimed at developing our people and adapting to an ever-changing marketplace. In addition, the role will be pivotal in shaping the future of our leadership pipeline by developing and delivering internal and external leadership training initiatives. Required Qualifications & Experience : Proven experience in learning and development, with a focus on sales training and CRM systems. Experience in developing and delivering sales training for large, diverse teams, including in-store and field-based employees. Ability to assess individual and organisational development needs and tailor training programmes accordingly. Demonstrated experience in leadership development, with a track record of designing and implementing leadership training programmes Strong analytical skills to assess learning effectiveness, track KPIs, and report on ROI. Experience in coaching, mentoring, and supporting career development across diverse employee levels. Skills & Competencies : Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences. Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple initiatives. Awareness of DE&I Strategies and how we can incorporate this into our strategies Data-driven approach to evaluating training outcomes and making improvements. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Learning Management Systems. Adaptable, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation. Training Programme Development & Delivery: Design, implement, and deliver engaging and effective sales training programmes Evaluate current capabilities throughout workforce and link to relevant training, working closely with our Commercial Excellence team to ensure an aligned approach. Utilise the latest software and learning tools (e.g., LMS, digital platforms, virtual classrooms) to design and implement innovative, interactive, and scalable learning programmes. Leadership Development: Identify high-potential employees and design programmes to support the development of future leaders within the organisation. Develop and implement internal and external leadership training initiatives, such as mentorship/coaching programmes, leadership seminars, and strategic development workshops. Provide coaching and support for emerging leaders, helping them develop critical leadership competencies such as strategic thinking, decision-making, and team management. Learning Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive learning strategies to align with the company’s sales and business objectives, ensuring the continuous development of employees. Collaborate with business leaders and HR to understand team skill gaps and create tailored learning solutions. Foster a culture of continual learning and development within the organisation. Tracking Learning Effectiveness & ROI: Measure and track the effectiveness of training programmes using KPIs, assessments, and feedback mechanisms. Regularly evaluate the impact of learning initiatives on business performance, sales targets, employee engagement, and retention. Provide regular reporting on training outcomes to senior leadership, offering insights into programme effectiveness and areas for improvement.
