About the role
We seek an energetic, self-starting Senior Compliance Officer to join our UK team. The role involves active engagement in all compliance areas within our growing, innovative fintech business.
You will support daily compliance functions, advise on regulatory and financial crime issues, and participate in projects related to new products and services.
As part of a small but expanding team, you will be involved in various aspects of the business and develop into an SME overseeing multiple compliance areas.
What you’ll do
Regulatory & Compliance Reporting
* Prepare and submit regulatory reports per FCA and other requirements
* Conduct ARM reporting checks
* Create compliance reports and MI packs for management and boards
* Perform horizon scanning for regulatory changes and assess impact
Monitoring & Assurance
* Maintain the Compliance Monitoring Plan
* Carry out compliance monitoring and assurance reviews
* Investigate ad-hoc alerts and issues
Governance & Controls
* Support policy reviews to ensure regulatory alignment
* Track and resolve incidents and breaches
* Assist as a DPO support, focusing on GDPR and data protection
* Conduct PEP & sanctions screening, review alerts
Marketing, Conduct & Complaints
* Review and approve financial promotions
* Help handle complaints and perform root cause analysis
What you will need
* At least 3 years of compliance experience in financial services
* Experience in regulatory reporting and monitoring
* Knowledge of AML/KYC and data protection principles
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
* Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively
