As the Project Quality Engineer with Dematic, you will be responsible and tasked with ensuring the quality of deliverables throughout the customer lifecycle, from project planning and design to implementation and closure and the following phase of Lifecycle Services and Solutions.
This role involves working closely with project teams, internal stakeholders, suppliers, and key customers of Dematic to identify potential risks, establish quality standards, and implement effective quality control measures.

This role will see you as a quality champion, driving continuous improvement and ensuring that projects meet customer requirements and company standards. The focus of your role will be to support the Engineering Services teams with the management of Quality issues with our products and solutions.
Leading Quality activities for the identification of Root Cause and implementation of continuous Improvement activities; you will facilitate the close out of issues by engaging with key stakeholders across the organisation, including Safety, Manufacturing, R&D, engineering, installation, etc.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Quality Strategy & Execution:

5. Develop and implement tailored quality plans aligned with company standards and project goals
6. Define clear quality objectives, metrics, and acceptance criteria
7. Identify and mitigate quality risks early in the project lifecycle
8. Monitor and report on quality status across dedicated projects

Requirements & Verification

9. Ensure project requirements are clear, complete, and testable
10. Participate in requirement gathering and validation sessions
11. Verify that designs and implementations meet defined specifications

Process Improvement & Problem Solving

12. Identify inefficiencies and lead initiatives to enhance quality and reduce defects
13. Conduct root cause analyses and drive corrective actions
14. Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and other improvement methodologies

Inspection, Testing & Reporting

15. Plan and execute inspections, audits, and reviews throughout the project lifecycle
16. Analyse test results to detect trends, defects, or deviations
17. Maintain comprehensive quality documentation and deliver insightful reports

Supplier & Stakeholder Collaboration

18. Ensure supplier readiness and compliance with project scope and quality standards
19. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, project managers, and suppliers
20. Communicate quality expectations and provide expert guidance to project teams

Continuous Improvement & Compliance

21. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
22. Capture and apply lessons learned across projects and functions
23. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal policies
24. Support internal and external audits with professionalism and precision

Qualifications & Experience:

25. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Project Execution
26. Bachelor’s degree in quality management, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
27. Proven ability to write and produce technical reports
28. Ability to oversee internal and external quality audits.
29. Strong knowledge of codes, standards and expertise in quality management
30. Proven skills in quality improvement techniques and Risk Management
31. Previous experience in Intralogistics / Supply Chain / Machine Engineering
32. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong problem-solving ability
33. Leader and team player with conflict resilience, “right-first time” mentality
34. Capibility to maintain a positive attitude through change and collaboration
35. Data-driven and familiarity with Power BI and/or other data capturing tools
36. Preferred (Process / 3rd Party) Audit skills
37. Strong capabilities in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
38. Capable of working with Excel data to analyse trends and produce reports and presentations.
39. Fluent in English required. Other languages beneficial
40. Ability to travel internationally (EMEA) to project and customer sites (approx. 40% of the year).
