Tax Manager – Oxford (Office-Based) – BioTech
Salary: £85,000 to £95,000
We are excited to partner with a rapidly growing, private equity-backed BioTech company with revenues around £120 million. Due to continued international expansion, the Finance Director is seeking a skilled Tax Manager to review and shape the company's international tax strategy. You will provide expert tax advice to leadership teams and take ownership of global tax compliance.
About the Role....
* Manage corporation tax compliance, including calculating Quarterly Instalment Payments (QIPs), handling year-end audit queries, preparing year-end tax computations, and submitting accurate corporation tax returns.
* Lead the Group's international tax planning and strategy, providing guidance and support to the Executive Leadership and Management Teams to ensure best practices and tax efficiency.
* Own and maintain the Group's transfer pricing policy, ensuring it remains aligned with the company's international growth.
* Advise the Executive Leadership and Management Teams on market entry strategies, evaluating tax implications and developing approaches to minimize tax liabilities. This includes advice on corporate structures and compliance with direct and indirect taxes.
* Oversee direct tax compliance across all jurisdictions, support local finance teams with tax returns, and collaborate with commercial and legal teams on entity structuring and contractual terms.
* Supervise employment tax matters globally, coordinating with outsourced payroll providers.
* Implement and maintain the STBV (Substantial Business Test Verification) process.
* Lead and support R&D tax relief claims.
* Stay ahead of tax regulatory changes, including compliance with new laws such as mandatory e-invoicing.
* Manage relationships with external tax advisers.
What We're Looking For....
* Strong expertise in direct, indirect, and employment taxes.
* ACCA, ACA, or CTA qualified with a minimum of one year of industry experience.
* Proven ability to manage complex international tax compliance and strategy.
