About the role
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and confident Learning Support Assistant who has a strong understanding of supporting pupils with autism and additional needs. You’ll play a vital role in providing 2:1 targeted support for a pupil with autism, helping them to regulate their emotions, engage with learning and make meaningful progress both academically and socially.
Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and another experienced support professional, you will contribute to the planning and delivery of tailored strategies that support positive behaviour, emotional regulation and access to the curriculum. Your experience will allow you to recognise triggers, implement effective interventions and adapt your approach to meet the child’s individual needs.
We are seeking a calm, patient and proactive professional who is confident in building strong relationships and creating a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment. You will bring creativity and initiative to the role, using engaging and purposeful activities to promote independence, resilience and a positive attitude towards learning.
If you are an experienced LSA looking for a rewarding role where your skills, insight and commitment will truly make a difference, this position offers the chance to be part of a dedicated team that values expertise and puts pupils at the heart of everything they do.
