Position Description
Position Summary
Take ownership of the preparation of all food items on the interactive gluten-free station and also the pizza station. Next, assist with all other kitchen production needs as assigned by lead cooks or chefs.
Education Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Education Preferred Experience Required
Prior prep-kitchen experience
Experience Preferred Skills, Characteristics Required For Position
* General understanding of recipes and food production
* Neat and clean appearance
* Knowledge of proper food handling and storage procedures
* Ability to organize and work in high paced environment
* ServSafe Certification must be completed within 12 months of hire
Special Working Conditions
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be mentally and physically able to perform all essential job functions which require walking, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting. This position is essential; employees providing essential services must report to work as scheduled by their supervisor in the event of an emergency closing or delay.

Essential Employee Essential - Emergency Only Primary Duties
* Follow proper food handling procedures and keep work area neat, clean and sanitized
* In charge of preparing all gluten-free food items for the interactive station during all meal periods
* In charge of preparing all pizzas for lunch and dinner
* Plan and organize prep lists for the pizza and interactive stations daily
* Assists and supports all kitchen production needs for all meals as needed
* Read and follow recipes as given from CBord program
* Understand the use and care of all equipment and report failures to Management. Clean equipment immediately after each use.
* Rotate and utilize all food products efficiently to maintain optimum quality. Practice first in/first out method
* Maintain open lines of communication with student workers regarding the products being served on the interactive station and pizza stations
* Maintain open lines of communication with cooks and chefs regarding food production
* Wrap and label all food items labeled with content, dated and stored properly
* Maintain consistent and accurate documentation using Quality Control and HACCP reporting tools
* Assist with preparation of food for catering events as needed
* Complete weekly deep cleaning task each week
* Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
Secondary Duties
* Attend department meetings and training sessions as scheduled
* Give direction to students making sure they follow procedures as outlines
* Other duties as assigned.
