Job Title\: Weld Database Coordinator Location\: Barrow-in-Furness (Full-time onsite) Salary: Starting from £29,667 What you’ll be doing: Managing and inputting Weld Numbers to achieve project efficiency Delivering technical support to Welders, Pipefitters and Steelworkers in the absence of Team Leaders, ensuring use of correct material Collaborating with multiple stakeholders across the hierarchy to support daily delivery requirements including Product Teams, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Team Leaders, IWT Managers, Area Managers, Engineering and the Customer Facilitating work pack completion by sourcing technical drawings, retrieving and analysing weld numbers, and utilising Joints Management System and Teamcenter Supporting right-first-time delivery by ensuring weld number completeness before Quality Control through progress tracking, discrepancy resolution, and documentation checks Applying Quality and HS&E Management System documentation—such as Process Instructions, Workmanship Standards, and Risk Assessments—relevant to the work scope, while adhering to all HS&E rules and control measures Your skills and experience: Background in Welding and/or Fabrication Proficient in reading and understanding technical drawings Ability to resolve technical issues and address design queries effectively Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Benefits: As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing, and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts - you may also be eligible for an annual incentive. The Primary Build Team: In this role, you will be playing a key part in the progression of the UKs Nuclear Submarine Fleet. You will provide expert knowledge and guidance as we move the project along, while also liaising with senior stakeholders and managers and gaining valuable exposure across the business.
