We're looking for a compassionate and experienced Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist - Breast to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract at our state-of-the-art Rapid Diagnostics Centre in Central London (W1G 7LD).
This is a pivotal senior role at the forefront of breast cancer care within a modern, patient-focused diagnostic centre offering same-day triple assessment for patients referred with breast symptoms.
You'll lead and inspire a dedicated team of Breast Clinical Nurse Specialists, delivering clinical excellence while working closely with a respected multidisciplinary team in a purpose-built unit with cutting-edge technology.

Job Profile
As the Lead Breast Cancer CNS, you will play a key strategic and clinical role in driving the highest standards of care for patients undergoing breast cancer investigations, treatment, and support.
This is a Band 8a role, reflecting the seniority, autonomy, and leadership required to influence service development and deliver expert clinical practice. Working within a cutting-edge diagnostic environment, you'll lead a team of experienced and aspiring breast care nurses, ensuring the delivery of gold-standard, person centred keyworker care throughout the pathway.
Working within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team of world class surgeons, oncologists, nurses and allied health professionals, you will play a key role in optimising all aspects of care experience and clinical outcomes.
* Job Type: 12 Months Fixed-Term Contract
* Hours: 37.5 Monday to Friday
* Salary: A competitive Band 8a range depending on experience
* Location: 142 - 146 Harley Street, London

This is a role where clinical expertise meets leadership. You will:
* Act as the clinical lead for the breast specialist nursing team.
* Coordinate and deliver expert keyworker support from diagnosis through to treatment and survivorship
* Ensure smooth, timely and compassionate care during same-day triple assessment clinics
* Foster clinical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement
* Champion patient experience, equity of access and informed decision-making
* Provide mentorship and training to junior nurses in our cancer service.

Key Responsibilities
* Act as a clinical expert and key contact for breast cancer patients.
* Empower patients by providing specialist advice, education, and emotional support to patients and their chosen care partners.
* Lead on the development of person-centred care plans, ensuring high standards of care.
* Work collaboratively with oncologists, surgeons, and allied health professionals to optimise patient care and
* Contribute to service development, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
Skills And Experience
* NMC Registered Nurse (Adult) with extensive specialist experience in Oncology/Breast cancer as a senior nurse/CNS or ANP.
* Passionate about improving outcomes and experiences for people with breast cancer through the formulation of patient-centred care planning.
* Skilled in team leadership, with a proven ability to inspire, develop and manage others.
* Confident in autonomous clinical decision-making and service development.
* Committed to collaborative multi-disciplinary team working in a fast-paced, high-performing environment.
* Commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in cancer care.
