Qualified Level 3 SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator)
Location: Starjumps Nursery, Borehamwood
Employment: Permanent part-time (12‑15 hours a week across 3‑4 days)
Salary: £26,789.88 p/a pro rata (£13.21 p/h)
Starjumps Nursery is seeking a dedicated and passionate SENCo to join our warm, nurturing early years setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced practitioner who is committed to supporting children with additional needs and ensuring every child reaches their full potential.
Qualifications
* Relevant SENCo qualification (Level 3 or above)
* Experience supporting children with SEND in an early years setting
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* A caring, patient, and proactive approach
Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate SEND provision across the nursery
* Identify children with additional needs and develop appropriate support strategies
* Create and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) or support plans
* Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and external agencies
* Support and guide staff in inclusive practice
* Ensure compliance with SEND Code of Practice and relevant policies
