An opportunity has arisen to appoint a Personnel Assistant/Administrator to support the Lead Nurse for Research and Development and Research Matron Team at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The Lead Nurse has professional responsibility for Clinical Research Nurses employed in the Trust through the Research Matron Team.
The post holder will provide assistance to the Lead Nurse, including diary management, and play a pivotal role in supporting the Lead Nurse to manage a busy work schedule.
The post holder will also provide administrative support to the Research Matron Team as required. The role is based in the NIHR Sheffield Clinical Research Facility (CRF) and involves developing close links with the Clinical Research and Innovation Office (CRIO).
Responsibilities include:
1. Providing a comprehensive secretarial and administrative service to support the Lead Nurse and Research Matron Team.
2. Developing, maintaining, and reviewing efficient administrative systems to support the Lead Nurse.
3. Acting as a first point of contact for the Lead Nurse and Research Matron Team, handling internal and external enquiries professionally and efficiently, both verbally and via email, with appropriate prioritization.
4. Participating in ad hoc projects, taking responsibility for specific areas as appropriate.
