Location: AB42 3AJ, Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, UKBAM are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Managing Quantity Surveyor who can strengthen our existing team on the large civil engineering project, the Eastern Green Link 2 (EGL2) project.EGL2 project is a JV with Hitachi Energy (HEBAM) and 5-year project which will see the creation of a 525kV, 2GW high voltage direct current (HVDC) subsea transmission cable from Peterhead in Scotland to Drax in England. We're on an exciting journey to get us there by recruiting the very best talent to join us regardless of race, colour, religion, national or ethnic origin,sexualorientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability or other characteristics.Your missionAs a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the following:Reporting to Commercial ManagerLiaison with operations team and support servicesManaging a commercial team of varying levels across multiple schemesResponsibility for overseeing commercial project management on multiple schemes including ensuring timely provision of the following:monthly cost value reconciliations, cashflow monitoring, monthly and quarterly forecastsmonthly application for paymentchange managementManage / mentor members of commercial team as requiredTake part in discussions concerning project performance and provide commercial input to project strategyWork with our clients and stakeholders to achieve optimum commercial solutionsEnsure compliance and adherence with project and company commercial procedures including for procurement and subcontract managementProvide commercial input into the Pre-Construction/Tender phase of projectsManage ECI/portfolio of ECI projects from a commercial perspective, including input into reviewing contract documentsWho are we looking for?Necessary:Previous experience of managing a team (ideally across multiple projects)Previous experience on civil engineering schemesExperience of NEC form of ContractThorough understanding of contractual provisions with a view to be able to comment, review and draft documents.Relevant qualification
