Overview Of The Role

Key responsibilities and duties include:


* Strong focus on the management of a wide range of ER cases to include performance management, grievances, disciplinaries and providing sound advice to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures and legislation
* Driving talent management activities across the unit
* Building key stakeholder relationships
* Managing wellbeing cases
* Responsible for providing data and tracking ER cases and absence management
* Supporting the design of training materials for the business
* Support the Senior People team through change management processes including restructure, redundancy, redeployment and consultation
* Manage processes, provide advice and guidance on secondments, transfers, cross–border remote working requests and relocations and ensure a consistent and trackable approach
* Assist with general cyclical activities such a salary reviews and bonus reviews including the analysis of associated data
* Supporting with the co-ordination of Learning and Development programmes
* Deputise for HRBP in their absence
* Make a positive contribution to the development of guidelines for people processes, attend and participate in appropriate meetings and forums
* Ad hoc projects
* Assisting with the production of data/papers for Board meetings

Candidate specification

Essential

* Highly experienced and excellent knowledge of managing a range of employee relations cases in accordance with UK legislation to include grievances, disciplinaries, performance management, absence management, redundancies
* Can do, proactive and positive attitude with the ability to motivate self
* Excellent analytical and numeracy skills with the ability to analyse and interpret complex data and people information
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to quickly build effective, collaborative relationships with the people team and other colleagues across the business
* Good organisation and prioritisation skills with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
* Comply with Data Protection and General Data Protections Regulations (GDPR) and ensure the security of employee information in accordance with legislation and best practice
* Ability to communicate routine and complex information clearly at all levels recognising the importance of attention to detail and confidentiality
* Good IT skills, including proficiency in HR Systems, and Microsoft Office
* CIPD qualified (or working towards)

Desirable

* Experience within an engineering or consultancy environment
