SEN Teaching Assistant - Northampton Via Tradewind Recruitment Tradewind Recruitment are currently working closely with a welcoming and supportive specialist provision in Northampton, who are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from April. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs. The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs. Many students benefit from small group learning and 1:1 or 2:1 support, making this a highly rewarding role for the right candidate. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the wider support team to provide tailored assistance to pupils both in and out of the classroom. Your role will include supporting learning activities, encouraging positive behaviour, assisting with personal care where required, and helping students to develop their independence and confidence. We are keen to hear from candidates who have previous experience working with children or young people with SEN, either within education, care, or a related setting. Experience with non-verbal learners, personal care, BSL, or behaviour support would be highly advantageous, although full training and ongoing support will be provided. In return, Tradewind Recruitment offer competitive rates of pay, access to over 2,500 CPD courses, dedicated consultant support, and opportunities for long-term and permanent placements within excellent schools and specialist provisions. If you are patient, resilient, nurturing, and genuinely passionate about supporting young people to reach their full potential, we would love to hear from you. Apply today through Tradewind Recruitment to take the next step in your SEN career.
