Salary: Starting Salary is £32,597 (Level one) rising to £35,412 (Level four) per annum (pro rata for part-time)

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our innovative and dynamic Targeted CAMHS team. The post holder will be a member of one of our community-based teams working in partnership with social care, health and education agencies. To deliver accessible therapeutic support for children & young people with a range of emotional & mental health difficulties (The children & young people who access our services present with a wide range of emotional and mental health difficulties ranging from mild to moderate.

As a CAMHS Level 3 Family Support Worker, you will be an integral team member offering consultation, assessment and evidence-based interventions to children and young people we serve (a lot of the role will be virtual, however there is an expectation to work within the office, using Hybrid working).

The post-holder will work as part of the Targeted CAMHS SPA Team (Single Point of Access), as part of a multi disciplinary team delivering, high-quality; brief outcome focused therapeutic interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, these may include anxiety, low mood and behavioural difficulties. The main responsibility will be to offer Single session therapies and brief early interventions ( short term, early intervention support).

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

1. Knowledge of different theories, models and approaches to working with children and families and experience of applying these to practice.
2. Sound knowledge of safeguarding issues and experience of applying legislation and policy and procedure to practice, including the relevant assessment framework and integrated working.
3. Ability to conduct assessments and analyse findings to formulate action plans, and the ability to produce high quality written records and reports.
4. Experience of delivering evidence-based interventions with vulnerable children and young people & families, from a variety of backgrounds, in an outcome focused way
5. Knowledge and understanding of multi-agency & partnership working and the variety of services available to families.
