The Defence Explosive Munitions Search (DEMS) Training Regiment delivers several bomb disposal, ammunition and search themed training courses. The post is located within the Logistics Department at the Headquarters within St Georges Barracks, Bicester Garrison. Sometimes you will need to visit our second site in Kineton where transport will be provided. Job Description: The Senior Storekeeper has key responsibilities for managing accounts and practices which are subject to annual self-assessment and periodic inspection from audit teams. A great teammate, the successful candidate will be able to work closely with their civilian and military colleagues, as well as managing their own time effectively. Duties: The Senior Storekeeper is responsible to the Stores Manager for: • The control, accounting and serviceability of all stores and accommodation on their charge in accordance with policy regulations. • Advise the Unit on equipment care and logistical matters. • Maintain and account for Unit materiel and equipment including Hazardous Environment Search stores, weapons on site whilst also managing sub accounts in accordance with current regulations. • Carry out assurance and management activities on local registers including but not limited to weapon cleaning registers, issue registers and before/after use register. • Prepare that information for external assurance and inspection regimes. • Carry out supervisory responsibilities for four stores personnel.
