Job Description:
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting production and engineering functions. Your responsibilities will include:
* Designing production layouts and balancing manufacturing lines.
* Planning and safely installing new equipment, along with improvements to existing processes.
* Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) by working closely with R&D to ensure smooth product industrialisation.
* Driving continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and reduce waste.
* Championing lean manufacturing principles across the business.
* Supporting ‘Design for Manufacture’ and ‘Design for Automation’ processes.
* Preparing equipment justifications, quotations, and investment requests (CapEx).
* Ensuring equipment documentation, training, and handovers are completed for manufacturing and maintenance teams.
This Manufacturing Engineer role will give you ownership of projects where you can bring ideas to life and directly impact production performance.
Skills & Experience:
To be successful as a Manufacturing Engineer, you should bring:
* A degree in Engineering or several years of relevant industry experience.
* Experience with lean manufacturing techniques and production environments.
* Proficiency in time and motion studies, process flows, and PFMEA documentation.
* An understanding of ergonomics, manual handling, and safe equipment use.
* Willingness to travel occasionally if required.
