 
        
        CHD Living is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Registered Manager to lead our specialist rehabilitation service Kingston Rehabilitation Centre. About the Role
As the Registered Manager, youll take overall responsibility for the safe and effective running of the Centre, ensuring full compliance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008, CQC regulations, and CHD Livings high standards. Youll play a hands-on role, balancing leadership, clinical oversight, governance, and service development.
Your leadership will guide our experienced multi-disciplinary team, supporting them to deliver high-quality, person-centred care and rehabilitation. Youll be a strong and visible presence on the floor, while also ensuring robust systems are in place to meet our clinical, operational, and regulatory goals.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
 * Provide 24-hour management and oversight of the Centre.
 * Ensure compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards and regulatory frameworks.
 * Oversee recruitment, training, supervision, and development of nursing and care teams.
 * Lead on audits, governance, quality improvement and performance reviews.
 * Manage care pathways, risk assessments, care planning and outcomes for patients.
 * Maintain effective communication with patients, families, MDTs and external agencies.
 * Lead marketing initiatives and promote a positive, professional image of the service.
 * Oversee budgets, staffing levels, health & safety, and operational efficiency.
 * Act as safeguarding lead, complaint handler, and liaison with external regulators (e.g. CCG, QA, Social Services, CQC).

Job responsibilities
You will be responsible for the 24-hour management of the Centre for the purpose of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and subsequent updates together with the Policies and Procedures set by the Company.
You will be required to split their time between direct care (ensuring effective objectives and outcomes are being achieved) and completion of the required paperwork related to compliance/clinical governance objectives) to ensure highest standard of care as required under CQCs Fundamental Standards of Quality and Safety are met.
Overall Objectives
1.Assesses patients, plans, implements and reviews personalised clinical care pathway programmes including therapeutic needs, advice and support patients and their families and maintain all associated records
2.Oversees the management and supervision of staff, including recruitment & selection of these.
3.Implements correct policies, procedures, working practices and review as necessary in conjunction with the Regional Manager and other professionals supporting the service.
4.Have a clear understanding of the regulated activities and nursing outcomes to be achieved based on the Fundamental Standards of Quality & Safety (as per the revised KLOEs 2017)
5.Managing quality audits ensuring required reports provided as per Company policy
Responsibilities include:
Ensure the service meets all CQC fundamental standards and maintains compliance with Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.
Implement clear governance systems to monitor quality, safety, and clinical effectiveness.
Lead by example, promoting a positive, transparent, and inclusive culture that upholds dignity, respect, and person-centred care.
Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including commissioners, families, multidisciplinary teams, and regulators.
Ensure delivery of high-quality neurorehabilitation programmes tailored to individual patient goals and clinical needs.
Oversee clinical governance frameworks, including audits, incident reporting, and learning from complaints or near misses.
Implement evidence-based practice in collaboration with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, psychologists, and nursing teams.

Qualifications
 * What Were Looking For:
 * Significant experience in health or social care leadership, ideally within a specialist or rehabilitation setting
 * Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations, clinical governance, and managing regulated services
 * Experience overseeing multi-disciplinary teams, including clinical staff (nurses, therapists, etc.)
 * A clinical qualification or NMC registration is desirable but not essential
 * Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
 * Proven experience in a Registered Manager, Therapy Manager or Clinical Lead role within a complex care, neuro-rehab, or elderly care setting
 * Strong understanding of CQC regulations, KLOEs, safeguarding, and governance frameworks
 * Excellent people management, leadership, and mentoring skills
 * Sound knowledge of clinical risk, quality audits, and compliance reporting
 * A caring, empathetic approach with a focus on continuous improvement and patient wellbeing
 * Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care
 * Registration with NMC
