Empowering careers at ARJO
At Arjo, we know what moves us. We go above and beyond for people facing mobility challenges. We take every opportunity to work and grow as one team and share our knowledge and experience. Does that sound like something that moves you too?
This could be your opportunity to begin a challenging and rewarding career in a healthcare company that empowers movement for people with mobility challenges.
Location: Field based – working from our site at Leeds.
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Shift Pattern: Wednesday to Friday 08.30 – 16.30, Saturday and Sunday 09.30 - 17.30
As part of the northern team, you will deliver and collect rental equipment across Leeds and surrounding areas, mainly within Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS trust sites and the Bradford community, with support across other sites. Some days start and finish at the depot; others start directly at hospital sites.
You will deliver equipment to wards and collect equipment no longer needed. Most equipment involves pressure relieving mattresses, inflated on hospital beds and deflated for collection. Equipped with an iPad and iPhone, you will log serial numbers as equipment moves in and out of hospitals, requiring attention to detail.
A valid driver’s license is essential, as you will load your van at the depot and work from it during the day, attending to orders that come through. Since installation requests must be delivered within 4 hours, a methodical and practical approach is necessary to prevent patient wait times. You must have suitable parking at home for the van.
The role involves lifting, so the ability to lift bulky mattresses for extended periods is required, though equipment will support moving rental products. No experience needed; full training provided. Personality, enthusiasm, positivity, and communication skills are vital to build strong customer relationships. You will be the face of Arjo in hospitals, making a difference in patients’ lives.
Skills required:
* A practical approach
* Ability to prioritize and adjust routes
* Positive, team-oriented attitude
* Excellent English communication skills
* Valid UK driver’s license
* Enhanced DBS clearance (at Arjo’s cost)
* Ability to lift bulky mattresses for long periods
* Flexibility to work outside normal hours, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and participate in the “On Call” rota
What we offer:
Support to be the most trusted partner in driving healthier outcomes for mobility-challenged individuals. Full support, training, professional development, competitive package, uniform, and access to a company van.
Why diversity matters:
We value diversity and encourage applicants from all backgrounds to build a more inclusive environment, both in the workplace and communities. This role requires an Enhanced DBS check prior to starting.
By applying, you agree to Arjo storing your information.
