Job Title: Head of Group Reporting
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Location: Winnersh, RG41 (Hybrid)
Reports to: Group Director of Financial Control
We're seeking a Head of Group Reporting to lead the financial reporting function across ASL's complex European structure. This high-profile role involves managing consolidations, statutory reporting, shareholder submissions, and acting as a key contact for auditors and local finance teams.
You will oversee multi-currency consolidations, enhance reporting accuracy, drive process improvements, and lead a small, high-performing team. If you enjoy technical accounting challenges and want to own group reporting at scale, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidations in SAP BPC (10.1, with replacement system incoming).
2. Manage preparation, review, and submission of shareholder reporting.
3. Oversee statutory accounts preparation (FRS 102 / UK GAAP) and act as a key audit contact.
4. Integrate new acquisitions into group reporting and lead fair value balance sheet exercises.
5. Own technical accounting areas such as goodwill, intangibles, deferred consideration, lease accounting (IFRS 16).
6. Maintain accounting policies, reporting processes, and BPC master data.
7. Drive process improvements across systems and reporting.
8. Lead, coach, and develop a small group reporting team (2+ people).
Qualifications & Experience:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
* Strong technical background in group consolidations and statutory reporting.
* Experience with SAP BPC or similar tools such as Hyperion, HFM, OneStream, Cognos.
* Advanced Excel skills and a process improvement mindset.
* Confident leader and communicator with international/multi-entity experience.
* Bonus: Experience with Thomson Reuters OneSource (or Caseware), acquisitions, or system implementations.
