An exciting opportunity is available for two Sequence Engineers to work as part of the Midlands Control Team Designing and building the Sequence Schemes within the companys Network Management (ADMS) system. Run schemes on the DEV ADMS system (Test system) for function checksIn the live ADMS system, approve, commission and enable the schemes before a respective outageManaging SQC scheme amendments and updates ad-hoc and as requiredTrack progress of the outages to ensure schemes are enabled and disabled in a timely mannerApply APRS schemes where not deployed by CNI team.Check fault reports to ensure operational compliance, address non-complianceAmendment of schemes where Normal Open Points are movedSupporting Outage Planning with, short-term working requirements and for any necessary contingency plans with SQC Schemes.Support IIS compliance and associated auditsWhilst there is no formal training programme for this role, peer to peer training will be expected as requiredReview submitted Technical Approval applicationsSupport Internal stakeholders with ad-hoc scheme enquiriesAssist in post fault restoration enquiriesOther duties as directed by a Control Operations Manager that are required for network safety, security, or continuity of operations. The Ideal CandidateFor appointment in to the role, candidates must have a minimum of a level 4 / HNC in an Engineering or Computer Science subject that includes some electrical modules. Candidates should be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the Electricity Distribution Network and its operation.Familiarity with an ADMS / Power-On / ENMAC product operation is not essential but it is advantageous. To meet national security vetting requirements you will normally need to have been resident in the UK for at least 5 years for Security Clearance (SC) prior to the date of application.
