We are looking for a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to support our Finance team with day-to-day operations across Morph and The Pharmacist Network Group. The successful candidate will have experience in payroll processing, bank reconciliations, and managing both accounts payable and receivable. You will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. This is an hybrid role with 4 days onsite and 1 day remote working.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll:
* Assist in preparing and processing monthly payroll accurately and on time.
* Maintain employee payroll records and ensure compliance with HMRC and pension regulations.
* Respond to employee queries regarding pay and deductions.
Bank Reconciliations:
* Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts.
* Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Accounts Payable:
* Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and staff expenses in line with company procedures.
* Prepare payment runs and reconcile supplier statements.
* Handle queries from suppliers and maintain good relationships.
Accounts Receivable:
* Raise and issue sales invoices and credit notes.
* Allocate customer payments and monitor outstanding balances.
* Chase overdue accounts in line with credit control policies.
General Finance Duties:
* Support month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, and journal postings.
* Maintain accurate financial records and assist with audits.
* Provide ad-hoc support to the Finance Manager and wider team as required.
Skills and Experience
* Minimum of 3+ years' experience in a finance role with exposure to payroll, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
* Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Qualifications
* AAT qualified or working towards an accounting qualification (or equivalent experience).
