Our client, a leading provider of engineering solutions in the energy sector, is currently seeking a Senior Safety Engineer to join their team in Basingstoke.
Key Responsibilities:
* Producing project safety and environmental deliverables, including HSE Plans, HSE Philosophy, and waste management plans
* Attending safety workshops such as HAZID, ENVID, HAZOP, and SIL
* Managing and signing off safety actions
* Liaising with clients and external stakeholders
* Acting as Project Discipline Lead for projects, ensuring timely issuance of deliverables
* Providing technical support on HSE matters to other disciplines
* Conducting technical reviews of contractor documentation
Job Requirements:
* Experience working on energy projects, including oil and gas design projects
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team to produce high-quality deliverables on schedule
* Knowledge of UK regulations and standards
* Experience working to IFC and World Bank standards
* Significant experience in safety and environmental engineering
* Strong HSE knowledge and ability to prepare high-quality HSE documentation
* Ability to critically review the work of others
* Experience with site surveys and stakeholder engagement
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Experience with multinational FEED projects
* Highly collaborative team player, willing to develop and share skills
Qualifications:
* Relevant degree or equivalent experience
