Dakota Hotel based in Newcastle are seeking a hard-working individual suitable for a cleaning-based role for the position of Kit chen Porter. We are a brand-new, stylish hotel, i deally situated on the Quayside, our hotel boasts 118 bedrooms including 33 suites. Dakota Newcastle hosts our renowned Bar & Grill, Champagne Room, Cigar Terrace, and an events space for up to 60. CONTRACT AND PAY RATE The pay rate is national minimum wage, paid hourly and on a weekly basis plus cash and card tips // Earnings are £10.40 per hour, paid weekly equating to a minimum guaranteed gross annual salary of £24,300. // The gross annual salary is £X plus an annual incentive bonus to earn up to £X. Earnings are £12.51 per hour, paid weekly equating to a minimum guaranteed gross annual salary of £6,505 (inclusive of the anticipated tronc payment). The role carries a permanent contract of a minimum of 10 hours per week and typical shifts will be working any 2 days out of 7, predominently working weekends. PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Wash all pots, pans, crockery, glassware, and cutlery throughout the day. Store and organize all clean items, ensuring the Chefs have all required equipment. Carry out a clean down of the Employee Break Room daily and a deep clean of the Kitchen twice daily. Ensure the Back of House areas are clear from obstruction and maintain the bin store areas, ensuring they are clean and cleared daily. Follow the correct waste disposal and recycling procedures, maintaining the waste storage area within the hotel. F ollow health and safety procedures closely at all times particularly p ertaining to the handling of waste and manual handling. Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of safe chemical handling guidelines and best practice relating to the immaculate upkeep of food preparation areas.
