Main Purpose of the Role Working within Perth & Kinross Council is more than a job, it's about being part of something meaningful. We currently have the following opportunity: Driver/Handyperson - PKC13612 £22,508 - £23,713 (30 Hours per week) Dalweem Care Home, Aberfeldy Dalweem Residential Care Home is based in the beautiful town of Aberfeldy in Highland Perthshire. Due to a retiral, we now have an opportunity for a Drover/Handyperson to join our team. Dalweem is a busy and welcoming care home that supports older people to lead active, meaningful and valued lives. We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and reliable person to join our team. In this role, you will drive the home’s mini‑bus and transport residents to and from appointments and activities in the wider community. The role also includes basic vehicle maintenance and general handyperson duties within the care home to help ensure the environment is clean, safe and welcoming at all times. A basic understanding of Health & Safety is helpful, although full training will be provided. Please note, we are currently unable to offer sponsorship for this post. Skills & Experience Required We’re looking for a driver/handyperson with a can‑do attitude, who is flexible, adaptable and confident in taking on a variety of tasks. To be successful in this role, you will need: A full UK driving licence with D1 entitlement A willingness to undertake MIDAS driver training Excellent reliability and flexibility, with the ability to adapt to changing needs Ideally, experience of working with older people or supporting individuals living with dementia Working at Perth & Kinross Council Our values and behaviours influence our work and support us in the delivery of our key priorities.
