Our care and safeguarding responsibilities will be provided in a safe way for our children and young people. Our staff will ensure that they do everything that is reasonably possible to mitigate risks to emotional, mental, and physical health and safety. Management will ensure that staff has the right skills, experience, and competence to provide good quality care and service safely.
Responsibilities:
- To provide for the day-to-day management of the home.
* Safeguard and promote the welfare of all young people.
* To act as the designated Officer for safeguarding.
* To manage the home efficiently and effectively in all aspects of the role.
* To ensure that the Home complies with regulations.
* To work towards meeting the requirements, standards, aims and objectives, policies and procedures of the home.
* To develop, manage and lead the staff team in working with children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs
* To liaise and market the high quality and innovative work with children and young people to local authority partners.
* To represent the home's mission, vision and values at the highest levels and provide best possible outcomes for all children.
* To ensure full compliance with all regulatory bodies, including Ofsted, Fire Authority, Health and Safety Executive and Environmental Health.
* To ensure that the premises is kept clean, safe and in a good state of repair and décor at all times.
* Lead and manage the daily operations of the care home, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all residents.
* Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans in collaboration with children, families, and healthcare professionals.
* Oversee medication administration processes to ensure compliance with health regulations and best practices.
* Recruit, train, and supervise staff members to maintain high standards of care and service delivery.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging staff development and implementing training programmes.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and quality assurance measures.
* Maintain effective communication with residents, families, staff, and external agencies to promote transparency and trust.
* Manage budgets and resources efficiently to ensure the sustainability of the care home.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and management abilities and experience in a residential care setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in budgeting and financial acumen
- Knowledge of home care regulations and procedures
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £50,000.00-£65,724.00 per year
