Unit Role: The Field Army Land Operations Command (LOC) plans, generates and exercises operational command of Land forces deployed globally. Within which, the Land Special Operations Forces (Land SOF) Pillar provide the executive function for all Land Special Operations. Position Role: Army policy lead for CIMIC (Civil Factor Integration & Civ-Mil Interaction) and the integration of HSy considerations (see JSP 985). Responsibilities: 1. Pan-Army Training Requirements Authority (TRA) and Army Professional Standards Authority (APSA) for both CIMIC & Human Security (HSy). 2. Represent Army at MOD Implementation WG for HSy & CIMIC and support DACOS G9, ACOS & COS at 2* Steering Gps & 4* Decision Board. 3. Advisor to Army HQ, Land Operations Command (Und Gp, G3, G5, G9 & LSOF) and Land Warfare Centre on CIMIC & HS. 4. Promote warfighting CAPDEV & FFD for CIMIC & HS, maintaining very close liaison with the Joint CIMIC Group & HQ ARRC CIMIC & HS staff. 5. Run LAND CIMIC/HS WG to deliver on the ACSO & Army Implementation plans and MOE against MOD change programme integrating HS. 6. Promote ‘Civil Factor Integration’ (including HS considerations) as part of the comprehensive understanding of the operating environment. 7. Promote ‘Civil-Military Interaction’ across HMG, with Partner Nation civil bodies, IOs, NGOs, CSOs to support operations. 8. Participate in LAND, MOD, UK and international panels, symposiums on CIMIC & HS, developing thought leadership and UK expertise.
