Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients. This role requires a proactive approach to care, ensuring that each client receives personalised attention according to their specific care plans.
Duties
You would be supporting a young woman with a spinal injury (paraplegic) on a 1 week on 1 week off rotation. In this role bowel management will need to be provided as well as support with accessing the community and accompanying the client to university. You must have a full UK license and feel comfortable driving a WAV.
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
* Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs and preferences.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring safe transportation.
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition.
* Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals regarding care needs and updates.
* Utilize IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes, ensuring compliance with care home standards.
Requirements:
* Right to work in the UK
* Ability to complete the physical aspects of the role such as Moving and handling
* At least 6-months of UK based care experience
* Knowledge of complex care is desired
* Are willing to do alternative weekends or 1 weekend out of 4
* All successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check
