The Position

We're looking for dedicated Senior Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) to join our multidisciplinary team within our acute hospital services on a relief basis.
Role
Working under the support and supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing safe, effective, and compassionate care to our patients. As a Senior HCSW, you will:
Deliver a wide range of patient care tasks with confidence and competence
Help ensure high standards of nursing care are consistently maintained
Follow NHS Orkney policies and contribute to a safe, supportive, and personcentred environment
Take part in ongoing personal and professional development to maintain and enhance your practice
The Candidate
You will hold an SVQ3 qualification or have equivalent knowledge gained through relevant experience, onthejob training, and short courses.
An understanding of the importance of confidentiality is essential, as is the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
You will also be confident using your own initiative and working with minimal supervision.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, along with an awareness of infection control procedures and Data Protection requirements.

The salary for this post is Band 3 and if residing on Orkney, you'll also receive a Distant Islands Allowance of £1,657 pro rata per annum, adding extra value to your rewarding career with us.
