HGV Class 1 | Kettering | Islip | from £17.45 per hour | New passes welcome. HG Recruitment are offering the opportunity for Class 1 HGV Lorry Drivers to join a delivery team out of our customers Islip and Thrapston Distribution Centres in Kettering. Delivering palletised goods to RDCs or stores, ensuring that the loads are secured correctly and that the goods are delivered on time, offloaded in the correct manner, paperwork is signed, and any agreed waste or pallets are collected to be returned.

Rates
* £17.45 - £22.68 per hour Days
* £19.20 - £24.95 per hour Afternoons
* £20.94 - £27.22 per hour Nights
* Plus attractive weekend premiums!
* Fixed shift patterns on a rota that will be guaranteed until January 2026!
* Start times AM or PM available.
* Average 10 hour shifts
* Flexible working available

Annual Earnings
* Earn a minimum of £50,809 on days on a 50 hour week, work 6 days a week and earn £59,883
* Earn a minimum of £55,900 on Afternoons on a 50-hour week, work 6 days a week and earn £65,884
* Earn a minimum of £60,975 on Night based on a 50-hour week, work 6 days a week and earn £71,863
How will you contribute?
* Responsible for the accurate, timely movement and delivery of our customers products.
* Adhering to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times.
* Securing load of the trailer to ensure products are safely secured to minimise chances of damage.
* Provide excellent customer service at all times and to take ownership of customer issues on delivery.
* Carry out multi-drop deliveries within the delivery window in a safe manner.
* Be aware of any vehicle defects and bring to the attention of Transport Office as necessary.
What will you bring?
* Must have valid in date Class 1 licence
* Must have valid in date CPC
* Must hold Digital tachograph card
* Must not have more than 6 points on licence
* Possess excellent customer facing awareness skills
* Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised
* Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering first class customer service
* Must have good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work
* Must have a good geographical knowledge
